Dr. Gill's research is focused on the development of novel technologies for genome-scale engineering. The technologies are applied to a broad variety of areas relevant to renewable and sustainable energy, advanced materials, and human health.

Introduces basic concepts in metabolic engineering and explores modern approaches in metabolic and strain engineering. Application areas that will be discussed will include the use of metabolic engineering approaches in biofuels and biorefining as well as biopharmaceutical production. Same as CHEN 5803.
