research overview

  • Ken Renaud's work focuses on the relationship between food and the city. As cities house an increasingly larger percentage of the world's population, the forces that steer their growth must increasingly consider how people will be fed, how and where that food will be grown, how it will be distributed and how the waste will be removed. This design-based research positions these questions as the fundamental logics of urban growth and development, producing new spatial, material and economic relationships in the city.
