research overview

  • Dr. Leathwood is a performer on six- and ten-string guitars. He performs music from the entire repertory available, but places an emphasis on music from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. In particular, he collaborates regularly with composers on new works and has written about the particular issues that arise in performer-composer interaction.
