Brad Goode is one of the most active trumpet soloists, recording artists, bandleaders and guest performers in the United States. In addition, he also composes music, works as a member of several orchestras, and performs professionally on bass and drum set. He is recognized as an authority in the areas of Trumpet Pedagogy, Jazz Pedagogy, Jazz Theory and Jazz History, and is often invited to lecture or write on these topics. Brad Goode also serves as Musical Director for CU's Conference on World Affairs.

Listening plays a central role throughout the course and class discussions will foster the ability to engage in critical analysis of performances.
