  • Nicholas Carthy is a conductor/pianist specializing in opera. As music director of the Eklund Opera Program, his main focus is the preparation and performance of the three opera productions in the CU season. This involves coaching singers, rehearsing the orchestra, conducting the staging rehearsals and leading the performances from the podium. Further to that he coaches singers on non-operatic repertoire, and works closely with the collaborative piano program. He is also very active as a pianist, and as a music arranger and transcriber.
