research overview

  • Currently, I have two very different areas of research. I continue to work on risk analysis for very large, complex construction projects. The aim of this work is to identify unforeseen problems and issues that might cause large cost overruns or schedule delays on design and construction projects. Most recently I have been working with an NSF team on the DUSEL project. I am continuing my investigations into the history of construction processes of all types. I am interested in the historical development of labor training, architectural design, financing and other project delivery issues.
