Overview
description
A talented teacher, Professor Mollborn is engaging, organized, clear and inspiring. She provides insights, perspectives and important skills for students, whether they are taking her class, majoring in sociology or planning on a career in the field. Undergraduate students appreciate the hands-on experience she provides through her research grant and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, while graduate students value her teaching expertise and professional guidance. A dedicated mentor, Mollborn makes time to meet with students and offers advice and support when needed. An indicator of her reputation as a teacher is the frequency with which she is asked to present on current teaching strategies. She has presented at the Faculty Teaching Excellence Program Summer Institute on Educational Technologies, the New Assistant Professor Program colloquium, and the CU Conference on Teaching, Learning and Scholarship in the Third Millennium University. A faculty member since 2006, Mollborn regularly makes presentations with graduate students and actively seeks ways to involve more students in national meetings.
