  • Covers the role of ice sheets in the climate system over a range of time (millions of years ago to the long-term future) scales, and presents the interactions between ice sheets, the ocean, and the atmosphere. Students will be introduced to, and work with, observational and modeling methods and data that conceptualize ice sheet climate and related topics. Recommended prerequisites: Basic knowledge of calculus, algebra and programming experience (python, Matlab, or equivalent). Same as ATOC 4780.
