research overview

  • Professor Gregorio's research is focused on transgenerational violence as it pertains to postwar resonances, domestic disturbances, substance abuse and complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. These findings are in dialogue with conversations about free will and determinism. The output takes form in creative works that range from rudimentary structures/live spaces, paintings, drawings, photography, art actions/performance, interviews, video, audio, and sculpture.

  • ARTS 3022 - Intermediate Drawing
    Primary Instructor - Spring 2018 / Fall 2018 / Spring 2019
    In addition to being a continuation of Beginning Drawing, Intermediate Drawing will focus on a non-traditional approach to making images encouraging conceptual development, experimentation and research. Moving beyond observation based drawings multiple thematic possibilities will be explored. Emphasis will be placed equally on ideas and technical execution.

    Explores varied painting techniques. Introduces concepts relevant to the understanding of painting and the creative process. May not be repeated. Formerly ARTS 2202.
  • ARTS 3222 - Intermediate Painting

    Continuation of Drawing 3. Advanced studio class in drawing for creative expression and individual portfolio development. Emphasis varies by semester;contact individual instructor for more information. May be repeated up to 12 total credit hours.
  • ARTS 4717 - Studio Critique
    Primary Instructor - Spring 2018 / Spring 2019 / Summer 2019
    Consists of consultations with faculty on individual studio problems and projects. May be repeated up to 6 total credit hours. Department consent required.
