Andrew Johnson's research focuses on emerging services and infrastructure for research data management as well as scholarly communication more broadly. This includes initiatives to improve open access to articles and research data, to further the adoption of persistent identifiers to enable transparent and reproducible, and to help other librarians provide support in these areas. In addition, he is interested in the role of technology and policy in controlling access to and use of research data in web-based disciplinary data repositories.
