research overview

  • I specialize in Japanese linguistics and pedagogy, with particular expertise in conversation analysis on interaction among Japanese learners and learners’ community building. My scholarship has appeared in journals or proceedings such as Journal CAJLE (Canadian Association for Japanese Language Education) and Japanese Language Education in Europe. My current scholarship examines use of technology for lanugage learning/teaching, community building in beginning Japanese courses and at a Japanese conversation table.
