Prof. Torres-Machi’s research deals with the development of decision-making systems aimed to incorporate sustainability and long-term analysis in the management of infrastructure assets, with emphasis on transportation. Torres-Machi works with artificial intelligence tools aimed to incorporate, in an integrated manner, technical, economic, environmental, and social aspects in the management of transportation infrastructure. The outcomes derived from Prof. Torres-Machi’s research provide novel and practical solutions aimed to improve infrastructure management.
