This course is the first course in the Rethinking Inclusive and Special Education certificate in the Master�s in Teacher Leadership program. The overarching goal of this course is to build understanding of the historical, political and social influences on the education of students who are identified with dis/abilities or who benefit from additional supports. Participants will explore culturally sustaining multi-tiered systems of support structures and special education identification practices.
