  • A former dancer with Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, Fort Worth Ballet, Kinesis, and Ballet Austin, Coleman has directed and choreographed a wide range of musicals. Recent professional work in 2016 includes acting with the CU Eklund Opera Program as Frosch in 'Die Fledermaus' and directing/choreographing the premieres of four student operas for CU NOW (New Opera Workshop - Composers Fellowship Initiative). In 2013, 'Back Stage Pass,' a musical theatre textbook co-written by Coleman and Pamyla Stiehl was published by Kendall Hunt; a new, updated edition came out in 2016. Coleman's writing includes analytical articles on musical theatre, American Theatre History, and the performance of gender.
