Dr. Pevtsov is an Astronomer at the National Solar Observatory. He studies topology and evolution of solar magnetic fields and their role in solar activity. Dr. Pevtsov is the author and co-author of about 190 scientific papers. He serves as the Chair of IAU Working Group on Coordination of Synoptic Observations of the Sun.
