- Prof. Long's research has involved the application of emerging technologies to cataloging and authority control, the implementation of new cataloging rules, the continuing education efforts of librarians trained in the pre- Internet era to keep abreast of the skills needed in the digital library age, and the citation practices of the Indiana Supreme Court and Indiana Court of Appeals.
