Dr. Corradini's research focuses on power electronics, the discipline revolving around the analysis, design and practical development of electronic circuits for efficient processing of electrical energy. Ubiquitous in today's world, power electronics is the key enabling technology for operating consumer as well as industrial electronics, from battery-operated equipment to large ICT infrastructures and data centers, and for interfacing renewable energy sources - such as wind and photovoltaic - to the electrical grid. Dr. Corradini has been mostly active in the field of design and control of dc-dc converters, with emphasis on digital control techniques for low-power dc-dc converters and advanced modulation strategies for bi-directional dc-dc converters.
