  • Abigail Nims, a professional mezzo-soprano, has performed as soloist with world renowned orchestras and opera companies such as the San Francisco Symphony, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Wexford Festival Opera, New York City Opera, the São Paulo Symphony, the Detroit Symphony, and the Baltimore Symphony. Her repertoire spans from Baroque to world premieres of new compositions. Ms. Nims is featured as Melanto on Boston Baroque's Linn Records recording of Monteverdi's IL RITORNO D'ULISSE IN PATRIA, which was nominated for the Grammy Award: 'Best Opera Recording of 2015.' Under the Albany label, she has recorded the role of Veruca Salt in Peter Ash's opera THE GOLDEN TICKET and Martin Bresnick's song cycle “Falling” on the album EVERY THING MUST GO. In recital she has appeared at Trinity Church, Wall Street, New York, NY; Saint Ignatius Church, Wexford, Ireland; at Bard College; and as guest alumna at Ohio Wesleyan University.
