  • Dr. Sherwood is a geochemist focusing on applications of novel compound-specific stable isotope techniques. His research interests span the fields of oceanography, biogeochemistry, coral reef ecology, and petroleum geology. His earlier work focused on the development of paleo-climate proxy records from deep-sea corals. Most recently, he is involved with the AirWaterGas Sustainability Research Network examining impacts of oil and gas development on methane emissions and stray gas problems in Colorado.
