  • He specializes in the history of Africa, the African Diaspora and the Atlantic World. He is an emerging scholar in methods driving the Digital Humanities, working with big data, website design, and data visualizations. He is principal investigator of the Liberated Africans Project, which seeks to trace the lives of over 200,000 individuals liberated by some of the world's first international courts of human rights law.
