- Shaylynn Lynch Lesinski's research areas include representations of gender in film and television, specifically depictions of the active female body onscreen and representations of birth in media. Her work considers the corporeal and affective qualities of popular media representations, as well as their pedagogical and epistemological potential to reinforce specific structures of power and control.
