research overview

  • Dr. Martuscelli's research is focused on Portuguese and Brazilian literatures from late nineteenth century to the 21st century, with emphasis on the transition of the avant-garde movements in Portugal, and transatlantic relations between Portuguese and Brazilian intellectuals, and the tradition of the arts and literature. She also develops research on Lusophone cultures, which includes Portuguese-speaking Africa, and teaching methodology.
