Richard O’Neill’s performance activities primarily as violist of the Takacs Quartet, that performs worldwide and records for Hyperion Records. In addition, Richard performs solo engagements, both here and abroad. This season toured the United States and South Korea with duo partner, pianist Jeremy Denk. He presented a masterclass at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. He continues as viola faculty at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, as well as returning to his festival, Music on the Strait, in Port Angeles WA. He was invited to make several online viola tutorials for TONEBASE.
