Research

Professor Lisbon's research largely focuses on library workflows and information literacy in the context of East Asian librarianship and scholarship. In regard to library workflows, research involves targeted automation in order to make the collection development and acquisitions process more efficient, especially in work environments where language expertise may not be readily available. Research in information literacy focuses representation of non-roman scripts in research technologies like reference management software. Special focus is given to user perceptions of the software and user experiences.

FYXP 1500 - First Year Success Seminar
Primary Instructor - Fall 2020
Designed to assist first-year students with their successful transition to the University of Colorado Boulder. Students will learn about campus resources, goal setting, study skills, and academic exploration. Participation in class discussions, self reflection, and engagement in course assignments are essential in this course. This course will provide a supportive environment for new students to engage with peers, staff, and faculty to support the first eight weeks of the transition to college.
