I am a broadly trained ecologist and environmental scientist. The majority of my research and teaching interests, and experiences outside academia, relate to the practice of conservation biology, and in particular how to build conservation action that is based on scientific analysis, but that is commensurate with planning and policy requirements and societal goals. I also have interest and expertise in climate change ecology and mathematical approaches to ecology and conservation.
