  • EDUA 5031 - Teacher Leadership and Learning: Professional Learning Communities in Schools and

    This is the first course in the Teachers Leading Change certificate in the Master�s in Teacher Leadership program. The focus is professional learning communities within schools, and participants will learn ways to cultivate authentic learning communities and a school climate that builds upon the strengths and expertise of teachers. Emphasis will be placed on shared leadership and becoming more intentional about shaping the norms and practices at one�s own school or local context.
  • EDUA 5032 - Instructional Coaching in Schools and Districts
    Primary Instructor - Summer 2022 / Fall 2022 / Spring 2023 / Summer 2023
    This course is the second course in the Teachers Leading Change certificate in the Master�s in Teacher Leadership program. The overarching goal of the course is to discover and practice ways to facilitate purposeful coaching activities that foster teacher learning. Readings and course activities expand on notions of �instructional coaching,� exploring ways to deepen and extend the sharing and creating of professional knowledge as a teacher leader.

    This course is the third course in the Teachers Leading Change certificate in the Master�s in Teacher Leadership program. The overarching goal of the course is to explore and build upon ways that teacher-led networks support change and engage teachers as knowledge builders and creators. Participants will delve into the rich history of teachers working together to revitalize their profession and advocate for a more just, humanizing world.
  • EDUA 5034 - Capstone: Teachers Leading Change in Action

    This course is the capstone to the Teachers Leading Change certificate in the Master�s in Teacher Leadership program. The overarching goal of this course is to synthesize concepts, practices and resources from the three previous asynchronous courses in this certificate and to develop a plan of action that addresses a pressing need in public education that builds on participants� own interests and strengths as well as needs and visions of the school or larger community.
