research overview

  • Professor Bowman works on the development of new polymeric materials with properties and capabilities that expand the use of polymeric materials into a range of new applications. His approach is to create new molecular structures that are designed to give polymer (or plastic) materials novel properties. These materials are useful in a broad range of high technology applications ranging from additive manufacturing to dental materials to semiconductor processing and various applications of photolithography and smart materials.
